The AD-500W uses the CRYSTAL CS-4955 video encoder chip.

This chip takes care of everything to do with the video side of your 500W, even converting PAL-NTSC and inserting the Macrovision signal to make it harder to copy DVD to VHS. Macrovision (and how to turn it off) is explained in another section. The chip also supports RGB output however the 500W does not have the connectors on the back of the machine. The circuit board does have the blank spaces for RGB so who knows... One day someone may just show how to add RGB output!!!
