HITEKER BI-800EAM CDR upgrade

I received this CDR upgrade for the Hiteker BI-800EAM player the other day which fixes certain DVD playback problems. Here is the message that came with the firmware:

"Hi there. I own a Hiteker DVD player BI 800 EAM. I had problems with region zero blocked dvd-films (f.a. Armageddon). They wouldn't play, digitized blocks and sound problems. I contacted Bicon and they send me an upgrade. Now it is playing without any problems."

PLEASE NOTE: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I DO NOT OWN A BI-800E PLAYER SO I CANNOT TRY THIS CDR UPGRADE MYSELF. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY RESULT TO YOUR PLAYER.

You can get the firmware CDR HERE

Please note: This CDR upgrade is Region Free but Macrovision is still *ON* I do not program firmware so I cannot turn it off for you. One day someone might hack this firmware and turn off Macrovision and then email me the firmware. Until then this is all you can get. Sorry.

NOTE FOR BURNING CDR: you will need a program capable of burning a .iso image file (like CDRwin). With CDRwin click on the "File Backup and Tools" icon and then use the pulldown menu to select "Record an ISO9660 image file". Select the BI-800EAM CDR image you have downloaded (called "BI800EAM_R0M1_CDR.ISO" after unzipping it first) and burn!
