HAIER HD-700 Firmware Patch

There is now TWO firmware patches for the HD-700 player!

1. Region Free/Macrovision Off
2. Region Free/Macrovision Off/RCE defeated and Mini-DVD

The procedure for upgrading is as follows:

1. Download the file and unzip it.
2. Burn the unzipped file "UHD700MM.ROM" to a CDR disc.
3. Turn on the power to the HD700 DVD player
4. Open the tray
5. Insert the CD into the tray
6. Close the tray
7. The DVD player will upgrade the software automatically
8. When finished upgrading, player will eject disc
9. Take out the CD
10. Turn the power back on and close the tray

DO NOT POWER OFF THE PLAYER DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS Allow several minutes to complete. The process is over when the CD ejects by itself.
