APEX AD-1200

There are two VASTLY different versions of the AD-1200 available. Unfortunately, the two different versions look virtually identical from the outside.

The heart of the differences lies in the type of video processor used. The difference in video processors leads to differences in firmware, which leads to differences in capabilities.

One version of the AD-1200 is unoffically known as the "Zoran" version,
because it uses a Zoran Vaddis video processor.

The other version of the AD-1200 is unofficially known as the "MediaTek" version,
because it uses a MediaTek video processor.

The way you can tell which version you have is
by pushing the SETUP button on the remote control.

If you see a menu screen that *resembles* the following (it won't be identical),
then you have the "Zoran" version:

If you see a menu screen that looks like the following (it should be identical), then you
have the "Mediatek" version:

If your 1200 has a menu that looks nothing like the pictures shown above, please report
your findings on the
AD-1200 forum.
